Polka dots are all around Matsumoto city and even on your dishes too!

Rainy season comes with the arrival of the month of June. So I decided to spend my weekend hopping around the town to make a list of Yayoi Kusama-inspired dishes for you.

The first stop is “Hotel Buena Vista”. (La Cafe Terraza, Seishika and Sorpresa restaurants)

From left to right, “Foie Gras with Pumpkin Puree and Risotto” (1,800 yen), “Pork Broth in Pumpkin” (1,000 yen), “Pumpkin Cream Bread with Coffee or Tea Set” (650 yen) and “Colorful Flower” (1,200 yen)

Next, go on to “5HORN” in PARCO department store

(5 minutes walk from JR Matsumoto station)

“Apparent Dome”, Strawberry Mousse with Condensed Milk Sauce, (920 yen)

Finally, last stop at “Bistro Cen Time” in Matsumoto City Museum of Art
